This is the easiest of them all! We can earn 0.5p per “genuine search and click” using the link below. It’s just like a normal search engine (e.g. Google), except we get donated money for using it! It doesn’t track anything and we don’t see what you’ve searched for. If 100 people did 10 searches per day for the next 2 years then we could make over £2,000 so we’d be very grateful if you could do some searching and clicking each day.
Support Our Unit
Over the next 2 years, BirmingJam needs to fundraise £160,000.
There are many ways that you can support our Jamboree Unit, most at no cost to you. Keep an eye on our events page for fun fundraisers you can attend for great nights out.
A Big Thank You To Our Supporters

Our Unit 79 badge was the first badge to be designed and produced in the UK for the 24th World Scout Jamboree in North America. Our 36 Young People from the Unit have designed the badge which is now on sale. If you’re a Scouting member inside the The County of Birmingham please contact us to buy badges for your group. If you are outside of The County of Birmingham area please use our eBay page to buy the badge.
The elements of the badge are:
- Route/Interstate sign shape: Route 79 goes through West Virginia, where the Jamboree camp shall be held.
- Tree leaves: Our Unit is going to be as green and environmentally friendly as possible and will be planting trees to off-set our carbon emissions – see JamboTree for more information!
- Tea Bear: The official UK Contingent logo for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree.
- The 3 Host Nations: Represented by the Mexican flag colours inside the Canadian Maple leaf and American stars, just 3 stars to represent the 3 host nations.
The badge measures 95mm across by 100mm high and is a fully embroidered.
Keep an eye out for our limited number of special badges that will come out in the near future.

If you’ve got any aluminium cans at work or home please collect them and contact us when you can’t hold any more. We’ll then take them to be recycled for cash.
Similar to handing your old clothes into charity shops, we’re collecting any old material and fabrics (but not quilts or pillows) and getting them recycled for cash.
Many companies will fund match. This means if we raise £500 at an event, they shall match that amount and donate £500. Our total fundraising for that event is doubled to £1,000. Please ask your manager/supervisor if they match fund and if so would they support us.
We’re always on the lookout for grants, raffle prizes and experience prizes. If you or the company you work for are able to donate we’d love to hear from you.
