Youth Selection Day

Seven weeks after holding a leader selection day, the Birmingham County were back at Blackwell Adventure running the Birmingham County Jamboree Unit Youth Selection Day.

Over 140 Scouts and Explorers attended the day which focussed on 3 areas: teamwork, skills and the jamboree vision. The Scouts were tested on their ability to work together and solve problems as well as telling us their vision of the jamboree and their reasons for wanting to go.

There were stepping stone and low ropes challenges, as many tents being put up and packed away as possible in the time limit, jamboree vision displays being created and pop bottle rockets flying into the air left, right and centre! It was one huge day of Scouting fun! The county team and volunteers were impressed with all of those who attended today. Good luck in the selection!
